We started in 2012 as "La Cumbia Balkanska", but after a year the band broke up, and thus the formation of "The Cumbia From The Sun".

Cumbia is part of the traditional music from Colombia, now very famous in Europe and America (Even Japan!). So we are bringing this new hot grooves to this part of Asia.

But we don't play Cumbia in the traditional way. We Mix it with deep Reggae shots, and Balkan jumps. Each member of the band bring its own flavor.

Somos una banda creada en Taipei, Taiwan.

La banda se formó en 2012 bajo el nombre de "La Cumbia Balkanska", pero después de un año la banda se desintegró y es así como creamos La Cumbia del Sol.

La Cumbia es uno de los ritmos tradicionales de Colombia, ahora muy popular en Europa y America (Hasta en Japón!). Es por eso que queremos compartirla en esta parte de Asia.

No tocamos sólo la cumbia en su forma tradicional, le ponemos unas pizcas de Reggae bien profundo y unos Saltillos balcánicos. Cada miembro de la banda le pone un sabor a esta fanfarria.
