Skip Skip Ben Ben原來是斑斑的個人音樂計畫。獨立發行過實驗民謠專輯"NO-Fi,No Fiction",在那之前她是來自台灣的噪音樂隊BOYZ&GIRL和雀斑(FRECKLES)樂隊的主唱兼吉他手,2010年她移居北京,並加入Carsick Cars擔任鼓手只有短暫6個月的時間,2011年5月退出Cars後她花了壹段時間找尋新的靈感和隊員,直到2011年底才有了現在全新的樂隊陣容,在北京成員是分別來自是Birdstriking的bass周乃仁,以及CarsickCars與Chaos的鼓手猴子,在2012年于台北進行爲期三個月的專輯巡演後，由兵馬司制作的新專輯SacrificeMountainHills得到了愛爾蘭知名噪音瞪鞋始祖My Bloody Valentine的Kevin Shields的賞識與肯定，成爲亞洲第一組MBV演唱會的指定開場樂隊。
2012年夏天的短短六天中，在中國最知名的後朋克樂隊P.K.14的主腦楊海崧擔任制作人、中國最大獨立音樂廠牌兵馬司唱片的幫助下，SkipSkipBenBen完成了第二張專輯"SacrifeMountainHills"。有別于第一張專輯"No-Fi,NoFiction"的Lo-Fi實驗民謠風格，這張作品架構出的空間呈現出壹種冷暖交融的溫度，斑斑的吉他演奏和清澈的人聲聲線忠實的呈現著shoegaze與迷幻車庫的新面貌。對于壹個純粹的聽衆來說，大部份的音樂即使很好、很得體、很規矩，卻也有可能做作得讓妳想吐。但偶爾有些小東西不經意地出現，提醒妳其實還是有些不壹樣的東西存在。第二張專輯創造了毀滅性美好的音樂，飄蕩在一起構成了纖細民謠作曲、東方調性結構、氛圍音樂探索三者的親密接觸。一定不能錯過他們的演出，妳將獲得完全沈浸在起雞皮疙瘩的美麗中的特別體驗。

Without a doubt, Ben Ben (aka. Skip Skip Ben Ben) is one of the more talented and intriguing artists to ever emerge from Taiwan's independent music scene. After several albums of indie-pop with her first band Freckles, she then moved on to the lo-fi, melodic shoegaze of the brief-lived Boyz & Girl. Never one to be constricted or constrained, she relocated to mainland China where she served as a member of acclaimed band Carsick Cars. Since then, she has been shuttling back and forth between Taiwan and Beijing, all the while maintaining her prolific level of creative output with her band Skip Skip Ben Ben.

Her hard work yielded a huge reward, namely being hand-picked by Kevin Shields to share the bill with My Bloody Valentine for their Taipei show in February of 2013. Not one to rest on her laurels, she continued a frenetic pace of songwriting and recording back on the mainland, and has once again returned to Taiwan to do a solo tour of the island. This date marks her 4th appearance at The Mercury, and we are very honored and excited to have her perform again.

少年維持的煩惱，一支高雄樂隊 這群七字團名的少年家從一開始的三人編制轉變成為四人， 並積極的想讓觀眾更記得住他們，於是想了一些新的編曲形態。 “要不要一起做不插電？”這是八十八顆芭樂籽主唱阿強的邀約， 還記得當天的現場，四個人收起了大聲的樂器， 藏不住的是主唱溫暖的嗓音與樂句結合的鄉土情懷， 更俐落的節奏來自鼓手的TR-808電子鼓擊， 這是屬於少年維持的不插電，有點溫暖，有點電。

Sorrow Of Youth have become mainstays of Kaohsiung's independent music scene, playing more shows per year than probably any other band from this city. They will be performing a special 'unplugged' set to fit in with the theme of this show.
