Fascinated by the music of French Gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt, Taiwanese-Canadian guitarist Denis Chang’s formative years were spent alongside the Gypsies of France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany, where he learned to play the style of music that is now known as Gypsy Jazz.

He has worked with the top performers in Gypsy Jazz, such as The Rosenberg Trio, Joscho Stephan, Gonzalo Bergara, Paulus Sch?fer, Tcha Limberger, to name just a few. Other renowned musicians that he has worked with include James Carter, Mark O’Connor, Stephane Wrembel, Frank Vignola, etc.

As a teacher, he is highly sought-after; he is regularly invited to give workshops in the context of his numerous tours since 2004. Students have traveled from as far as South Africa, the UK, California, for private lessons. Workshops have been held across Canada, the USA, Asia, and Europe.

吉他弦相互交織出強烈而瘋狂的律動、小提琴時而柔美時而激昂拉扯、手風琴濃厚的香頌味、絢麗的打擊碎落，堆疊於厚實的低音提琴節奏上

從旋轉著吉普賽長裙的艾絲梅拉達，走入香菸圈繚繞的巴黎小酒館，最後穿梭在一片色彩斑雜的老式公寓中

他們熱愛生命熱愛音樂而我們亦如是

而屬於那個美麗民族的流浪故事，由我們來訴說
