1990 年代噪音及前衛聲響的引進者之一，台灣傳奇噪音雜誌「NOISE」主辦人，現任職於北藝大，不少學生在其鼓舞下投入聲音藝術領域。近年演出及展覽頻繁，往來香港、日本、美西與澳洲，作品融合電子脈衝聲響與直勾耳膜的高頻噪音，加上動態凜冽的幾何影像，十足未來感，細緻的氛圍中不失狂野與暴力。 http://soundwatchtw.blogspot.tw/

後 80 世代，現就讀北藝大新媒所，受臥室電子樂與次文化影響甚深，往來舞曲與噪音之間毫無阻礙，是近來特別活躍的聲音藝術家。演出通常利用效果器與合成器編造動態豐富、色彩鮮明的音場，配上不時舞動的肢體與炫麗雅緻的造型，人如其音、音如其人，相當精彩。2012 年 9 月起，為電音發展推廣組織「耕聲人」（Sound Farmers） 的發起人之一。 https://soundcloud.com/applebetty

● Dino 廖銘和

90 年代中期開始，從事 no-input/looping 造音（即評論其技法時常常提及的「買空賣空」）的藝術家。直至 21 世紀的第一個十年過後，仍進行著同樣形式的演出，內容卻更為洗練與內觀。透過混音器與一兩顆空間系效果器，卻能造出包縛人心的宇宙。在自給自足的音場中，聲音本身的樣貌躍然眼前。熟知 Dino 的朋友也知道，他彈古琴、品茗、讀中國哲學，當然，58 度的高粱酒是一定要的！90 年代中後期作品目前由 Kandala Records 籌備發行。

● wolfenstein 謝仲其

今年春季才從紐約 Revolutions Per Minute 聲音展演出回來的謝仲其，聆聽音樂的廣博程度毫不亞於素有「人間音樂活百科」之稱的黃大旺。仲其為人低調，創作謹慎，作品音色豐富多樣，難以單一模式概括。至今已先後在 Post-Concrete（中）及 Qulture Production（俄）等廠牌發行個人及合作電子噪音專輯，連同 2007 年與鄭衍偉（小說）的《拿破崙的恍惚》，皆備受好評。不僅如此，近年更積極演出，尋求多方互動，除組成台灣唯一電子聲響四人組「traffic jam」之外，尚有與詩文誦讀激盪的「鬼唱詩班」。 https://soundcloud.com/wolfenstein 、 http://wolfenstein.tumblr.com/

● Merzbow 秋田昌美

作家、電子噪音演奏家，1956 年生於東京。玉川大學文學部藝術學科畢業。1979 年起，以 Merzbow 名義發表噪音專輯及現場表演，與灰野敬二、非常階段樂隊共同創造出轟動歐美的日本噪音（Japanoise）。其噪音作品主要受到德國 20 世紀建築師 Kurt Schwitters（1887-1948）的建築形態「Merzbau」影響，不僅內容充滿複雜的拼貼性，產量也極為龐大，出道三十餘年來已在世界各地推出超過 300 張專輯，並參加不計其數的合輯。1980 年代前半，在許多西方廠牌發行噪音專輯，1988 年受邀至蘇聯境內演奏，1990 年全美巡迴，1991 年韓國巡迴，1989 及 92 年也在歐洲各地演出。2000 年於澳洲廠牌 Extreme 發行全 50 張 CD 的套裝專輯「Merzbox」，使秋田在歐美聲名大噪，包括紐約非浪潮（No Wave）代表團 Sonic Youth 首腦 Thurston Moore、波蘭作曲家 Zbigniew Karkowski、美國另類搖滾樂手 Mike Patton、Stephen O'Malley、Jim O'Rourke、德國室內樂團 Zeitkratzer 等，都與秋田合作錄音或現場演奏。

Merzbow (メルツバウ Merutsubau?) is the main recording name of the Japanese noise musician Masami Akita (秋田 昌美 Akita Masami?). Since 1979, he has released over 350 recordings.

The name "Merzbow" comes from German artist Kurt Schwitters' artwork, "Merzbau". This was chosen to reflect Akita's dada influence and junk art aesthetic. In addition to this, Akita has cited a wide range of influences from progressive rock, free jazz, modern classical and musique concrète to BDSM and Japanese bondage. More recently, he has been inspired by animals, animal rights, and environmentalism.

As well as being a prolific musician, he has been a writer and editor for several books and magazines in Japan, and has written 17 books of his own. He has written about a variety of subjects, mostly about art, avant-garde, and post-modern culture. His more renowned works have been on the topics of BDSM and fetish culture. Other art forms Akita has been interested in include painting, photography, filmmaking, and Butoh dance.

In 2000, Extreme Records released the 50 CD box set known as the Merzbox. Akita's work has been the subject of several remix albums and at least one tribute album. This, among other achievements, has helped Merzbow to be regarded by some as the "most important artist in noise".
