Flâneur Daguerre (音符漫遊者) makes its music according to a unique blend of aesthetic styles + compositional processes. Formed in June 2009 and playing their first gigs at Sappho de Base in XinYi, the group brings together some of the island's finest improvisers from diverse musical backgrounds, both foreign and Taiwanese. Flâneur Daguerre now celebrates the release of their debut album "Big Big Intersecting Clusters! 大大星簇交錯", which will be released Taiwan through Himalaya Records in September, and which has already been released worldwide. They have performed all over Taiwan, including appearances at the 2010 Spring Scream Music Festival, Marsalis Bar (Kaohsiung and Taipei), The Taipei Symphony Orchestra's Reykjavik Lab 雷克雅維客實驗室, A House, The Pipe, Roxy Roots and Roxy Jazz. They have been featured in The China Post, the Taipei Times, 美麗佳人雜誌 Marie Claire Magazine and 人籟論辨月刊 Renlai Magazine, as well as www.wakaoo.com. Currently they are scheduled to appear at the TEDxTaipei Salon event, "The Road Less Traveled," on 9/10. They have also participated in the 2011 Renlai Magazine "World Music in Taiwan" complilation CD, and they will appear in their concert series on 9/16.

Flâneur Daguerre was founded on the belief that modern music, especially that which is so-called "avant-garde," can be enjoyed and accessed by the same audiences that find comfort in today's mainstream pop. The band explores free jazz, Eastern European and Balkan music, but they often subject pop and rock + roll forms to various methods of improvising.
