GODSWOUNDS IS...
God's Wounds started in 2008 as a compositional outlet for keyboardist/theatre practitioner Lachlan Kerr. (aka Herbie Greenfish) After a trip to Japan, the decision was made to take the band off the page and out of the headphones and on to the stages of Sydney venues. On the 15th of May, Godswounds debuted at Candy's to a virile packed house. In the space of 4 months they performed a residency at historic Sydney venue, The Excelsior, were bullied by their growing fanbase into producing an EP and now have set about touring the wilds of Taiwan for the next six months. The live incarnation of Godswounds, while maintaining the spidery Wendy Carlos infused 8 bits sounds, also allows the development of a punk-like aesthetic in the band, delivering gritty d'n'b breakdowns and moments of absolute chaos in the midst of the frenetic gumbo of compositional rock.
