This Friday at Bliss we have Aussie band GODSWOUNDS with DOUBLEWIDE. You saw them at last weekends Lost Lagoon party if you missed it this Friday is your chance to see them again.

Godswounds is a whirring zoetrope of sonic chaos. The sound infuses musical Nintendo-isms, seizure-inducing compositional rock and purees them in a blender of edgy Electro-Alternative that would make even Pivot reach for the safety rail. Whether it be in the form of their extraordinary 8 piece ensemble featuring brass and duelling drummers or as the stripped down electro/punk 4 piece wielding their angular songs with enough venom and virility to corrupt the most precocious of listeners, Godswounds is a spectacle to witness, absorb and forever inhabit the deepest recesses of your neo-cortex.

DOUBLEWIDE
DOUBLEWIDE is a rock band. they are loud, they have 2 guitars, they have 2 minute long sqwealing geetar solo's. occasionally there is screaming. not quite metal enough to be metal, not quite alternative enough to be alternative. not quite enough of anything to easily be described. it is easier to say that the members of DOUBLEWIDE have interesting ipod mixes. depending on whose you grab you could hear such old school favorites as iron Maiden, Slayer and Metallica. grab another and you will hear Soundgarden, Tool and Helmet. Still others are playing Pearl Jam, Muse, CCR and Mogwai. but enough about what they are, lets talk about what they do. simply put, they rock. come and see, then label them as you will.
