A Moving Sound

AMS is known for beautifully artistic songs led by the soulful voice and dance of Mia Hsieh. This evening will be a charged mix of original and borrowed musical ideas from the Middle East, Central Asia, Eastern Europe and Taiwan! Chinese instruments erhu and zhong ruan (chinese acoustic guitar) are mixed with voice and various ethnic percussion that will definitely get you moving.This is show is extra drum heavy with the goal of making sure every body's DANCING!

AMS has performed in Taiwan and fifteen other countries. They were featured on The Discovery Channel and National Public Radio in the U.S. In July, they will be presented in a nationally broadcast concert in the U.K. by BBC Radio 3 at W.O.M.A.D., one of the largest festivals of world music and dance in europe.
