some facts about Stray Cats and Dogs in Taiwan :
In Taiwan, if animals in shelters are not adopted within 2 weeeks, they are euthanasied
In Taiwan, the adoption rate is less than 3%
In Taiwan, the animal protection has been effective merely for the past ten years.
In Taiwan, ~200 dogs are euthanasied everyday
In Taiwan, during the past ten years 960 000 dogs didn't find an owner, and therefore didn't leave the shelters alive.
