Sing-Ling temple is an ancient battlefield and a historical landmark of Puli town. It’s not only the most essential scene in CHTHONIC’s latest 3 albums, a trilogy story, CHTHONIC has also written 2 songs that adopt Sing-Ling temple as the tiles. One is “Sing-Ling Temple” from the album “Mirror of Retribution”, and the other one is “Quell the Souls in Sing-Ling Temple” from the new album “TAKASAGO ARMY”. 2007年被紐約時報盛讚「Ozzfest最佳演出樂團之一」的閃靈，是在台灣已經成立了已超過十年的樂團。曾於2000年受邀參加日本「富士音樂祭」、並於2003年獲得台灣金曲獎流行音樂獎項中的「最佳樂團」，2007年受邀參加美國最大搖滾音樂祭「Ozzfest」、受邀歐洲大型音樂祭「德國WACKEN OPEN AIR」、並開創先例，成為台灣第一組受邀至法國坎城參加MIDEM音樂展的樂團，更是台灣第一組受邀日本Creativeman公司邀請參與旗下大型搖滾音樂祭「Loud Park」的樂團。

2009年，閃靈被美國著名音樂雜誌Revolver列為「年度最受矚目樂團」，下半年所舉辦的閃靈北美巡迴及歐洲巡迴，皆受到國際知名媒體如Terrorizer、Metal Hammer、Rock Sound、Kerrang! 等雜誌以及美國華盛頓郵報、洛杉磯時報頭版報導與ABC電視台等國外重要媒體新聞報導讚譽。十多年來所創下的成績，讓閃靈在歐美搖滾界眼中，成為代表亞洲金屬樂派的指標樂團。

閃靈於2009年與英國環球唱片簽約後，於九月發行了第五張專輯「十殿（Mirror of Retribution）」，並於2009年底陸續完成了兩次英國及北美巡迴，襲捲美國、英國及加拿大三十多個城市，讓閃靈在歐美的聲勢與人氣快速上揚。

閃靈除了代表台灣樂團在國際各大音樂雜誌擁有高知名度外，更在2010年一月榮獲英國知名搖滾雜誌Terrorizer讀者票選「最佳樂團」、「最佳專輯」第二名；而閃靈每位樂手亦獲得最佳樂手二至七名的高榮譽，成為最受歐美等國際搖滾樂界肯定的亞洲重金屬樂團。2010年，閃靈更將出戰日本最大重搖滾音樂祭「Loud Park」，並在香港、澳門、新加坡演唱會，年底將發行單曲並與瑞典金屬天團Arch Enemy展開英國巡迴演唱會。
