QvQ are basically a rock band who’ve been plying their trade in Taipei over the past 5 or 6 years, playing original music at venues like Roxy Roots, Sappho, BLiSS, the Living Room, and other places that haven't closed yet. Wally Hobbs on vocals and guitar, Ken Gentry on vocals and bass, Paul Routledge on drums, and currently Tony Alton on lead guitar. The band is currently finishing their second album (still untitled). QvQ’s music is guitar driven and influenced by artists like Neil Young, Guided by Voices, Sonic Youth, Camp Lajeune, etc. Unassuming. A bit loud. Surprising. Tight. And. Loose.
Sitting Ducks play electric folk. Prepare to be transported as they bring their folk-rocking-magic from their mountain-jamming kingdom in Yangmingshan to the GongGuan riverside.
PIPE Livehouse is under the Yongfu bridge, #1 SiYuan St ... take exit 4 from the GongGuan MRT station and walk about 10 minutes towards the water (museum).
