Fresh off the boat from Scotland, Alan McIvor (a dove-eyed veteran muso-singer-songwriter guitarist) was introduced to Taichung local Sean Luo (a seasoned singer-songwriter-guitarist-banjo-skin flute-player). Several days later they hit Bassmint Studios to jam it out with the only Scotsman to have never seen a kilt, Colin, on electronic guitar . The connection was there and several stoney jams later they had the makings of a brand new band. Joined by a wondering minstrel from South Africa, Carel on trippy-psybience and atmospheric tribal-percussion, the band decided to name themselves Super Cool Lights in the Northern Skies Filled with the Wonderment and Joyous Amazement. It wasn't til they shortened their name to Aurora and added a pumpin' rythum section, Pete the Beat and Wade Face, that the band decided to take their emo dance core sound to the stage. It's been all downhill from there.

WaySoon combines traditional, country, and newgrass styles to serve up a foot stompin, hand clappin, helluva good time. Four part harmonies, banjo, mandolin, and rhythm to knock yer socks off - this band appeals to folks from all walks of life by bringing roots music into the 21st century.
