美國加州旋律硬核新秀 Being As An Ocean 於2011年成軍，團名來自印度聖雄甘地的名言：「不要對人性失去信心。人性像海洋，就算當中有數滴污水，也不會弄髒整個海洋。You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty」。2012年發行首張專輯「Dear G-d...」即受到廣大好評，2014換上新陣容的第二張專輯「How We Both Wondrously Perish」更攻佔美國專輯榜。現在陣容為Joel (主唱)，Tyler (吉他)，Ralph (貝斯)，Michael (吉他，清腔) ，Connor(鼓)，一嘶吼一獨白的雙主唱及重擊情緒的詩意曲風讓 Being as an Ocean 在近幾年竄起的後核/旋律硬核團中逐漸走出一條自己的路線。
