[About the band]

Little Masta是前日本ska名團Blue Beat Players的keyboard手(1996-2002)，也是個製作人，曾經擔任UA, Rude Bones, Going Steady, Beat Crusaders, Rhymester, Frisco與The Zoot16等各類日本藝人/團體的現場與錄音室樂手，還在2002年擔綱老牌古巴ska歌手Laurel Aitken的日本巡迴樂手，同年與阿根廷知名reggae歌手Fidel Nadal搭配在Fuji Rock演出之後認識到來自哥倫比亞的傳統音樂cumbia，於是在隔年與鼓手Ryo、bass手Takuji以及打擊樂手Sola創立了融合ska, reggae與cumbia的Little Masta with Maximum Vibration，Little Masta除了keyboard外還負責主唱、口風琴以及手風琴。Little Masta在2011年搬到沖繩，因為在311之後，沖繩也無法避免得受到輻射塵汙染，連吃的都不安心，他想要盡一份心力保護孩子們，於是催生了《Save Children From Nuclear Pollution》這張EP，也代表了他們反核的強烈立場。另一方面是由於沖繩有美軍駐紮，對當地居民造成了不小壓力，反戰，也是他們的訴求之一，而且沖繩原本就有很完善的音樂場景與很多厲害的樂手。2013年他們與來自美國加州曲風相當類似的Very Be Careful展開日本巡迴。Little Masta基於對cumbia與mestizo*的熱愛更在今年二月推出了一張名為《Mestizo y Cumbia Musicos de Extremo Oriente》的合輯，收錄包括他們自己以及台灣的La Cumbia Del Sol等亞洲樂團/DJ的作品。

*Mestizo，西班牙文為"混合"之意，以rumba, cumbia, salsa與flamenco等拉丁美洲傳統音樂為根基，結合ska, reggae等不同音樂類型。

Little Masta with Maximum Vibration are Ryo (drums), Takuji (Bass), Sola(percussions) and Little Masta (vo, accordion, keyboards), their music combines ska, reggae and cumbia. Their latest CD entitled《Save Children from Nuclear Pollution》was released in 2013, and in summer they toured with Very Be Careful (from Los Angeles) in Japan. Little Masta has compiled a CD entitled《Mestizo y Cumbia Musicos de Extreme Oriente》and released in February of 2014, it featured bands and DJs who play cumbian or mestizo style including themselves and La Cumbia Del Sol from Taiwan.
