Tamatave is a group of 5 dynamic jazz musicians from different countries and backgrounds that have found each other on the island of Taiwan. They bring compositions written by pianist Martijn Vanbuel, bass-player Cyrille Briegel and flugel-horn player Olivier Baron, joined by Wei-Ying Zhou on bass clarinet and Devlin Cen on drums. At times bebop-like, at times more world music oriented, but at any time hard-swinging and groovy.
