It it just me or is it getting really hard to choose which gigs and parties to go to these days?
Here are a few of the weekend's bigger events going on around the country...

Drum&Bass fans are psyched for Australian band Pendulum who are swinging into Taipei tonight to do a DJ set at ATT4Fun. Link

Organik have another great electronic music festival going on in beautiful Hualien with a solid lineup of international and local acts. Link

There's a 6-band punk show, Anarchy in Taiwan, going on at APA in Ximending. Link

There ain't no party like an Urban Nomad party and to kick-off the start of their film festival they've pulled together a wicked and weird lineup of talent - Mop of Head (super-fun live electro+dance+rock+dnb+break act from Japan), South Rakkas Crew (reggae+electro act, on Diplo's MadDecent label), Juicy Lero Lero (Japanese stoner funk/ska feat. ex-Mimie Chan/Miracle Saru members!), Hang In The Air, Physical Chemical Brothers, DJ Noodles, Marcus Aurelius and Pro Res. We got John Stephenson (Roxymoron, OCD Girl et al) to write about 'The Second Space Experiment' which is going on tomorrow (Saturday) at Pipe Livehouse in Taipei...

Kicking off at 16:00 on Saturday 27th April at Pipe is the very aptly titled The Second Space Experiment 第二次空間實驗 (aptly titled as it is the second one and not the first one!) Organized by guitarist/vocalist from The Junk, the ever-busy, Harrison Chan, this event is aiming to build on the success of the first one and showcase some of Taiwan’s best psychedelic noise and stoner groups. The last event at APA 808 Lounge was a huge amount of fun, featuring some of GigGuide’s favorite bands, such as She Bang-a, Nintendo Generation Blues and The Okay Cars, and this next show should be even bigger and better.

If noise is your thing, or even if you just like hanging out near the river in Gongguan drinking beer, be sure to check out this event which runs from the afternoon until late.
